A god erases the one thing Belldandy loves most and uses it against her. Keiichi has to convince her she matters to him when she has no memory of why she ever chose him. The movie takes everything gentle about the series and breaks it in the most personal way possible, then forces the answer to survive without the magic.

Celestin, a god locked away on the moon for centuries after betraying the kingdom of Yggdrasil, is set free by the fairy Morgan Le Fey. He heads to Earth to find Belldandy, the goddess who was once his pupil. The reunion soon goes wrong. He wipes away Belldandy's memories of her boyfriend Keiichi and turns her into the means of spreading chaos across both Earth and Yggdrasil. The film blends romance and drama with supernatural stakes that reach from the mortal world to the realm of the gods.
