A girl who's literally a walking tank engine falls into high school and nobody bats an eye, because everyone around her is already unhinged. The show treats absurdity as law, not exception, so a sentient android android in a sailor uniform dealing with a control-freak class president while her adoptive dad builds weapons in the garage becomes just another Tuesday. It's comedy that doesn't explain the joke to you, it just commits harder.

Nuku Nuku is an android who serves as a companion to the young son of Kyuusaku Natsume, a somewhat nutty man, and she spends her days attending high school. Her classmates are all eccentrics: a domineering control-freak of a class president, a rich snob flanked by two yes-girls, a bookworm, a scientist, a mystic who keeps predicting doom, and a pop singer who only speaks in song. Each episode follows her adventures and mishaps at school, while the larger plot pits Kyuusaku and Nuku Nuku against the evil Mishima Industries, which plans to rule the world through its products. The result mixes comedy, action and mecha sci-fi.
