Tokyo collapses not because of demons, but because humans needed an excuse to become them. Tokyo descends into chaos when Ryou Asuka reveals that demons are real and that some of them are hiding among humans. Neighbors become suspects and strangers turn violent, as anyone who fails to hunt demons risks being killed. Akira Fudou once fused with the demon Amon to fight back, holding a fragile balance between his own mind and the demon's.
