Dojima, a former baseball star whose career was wrecked by an injury, refuses to join a professional team. Instead he becomes the coach of a high school team in a small, poor village, and the players he takes on are a group of misfits. Through the games they play together, he teaches his students the value of cooperation. The result is a sports action series about building a team one match at a time.
