Nine short comedy specials came bundled with the Blu-ray and DVD releases of Attack on Titan, animated in Flash with the cast redrawn in chibi style. Each episode covers two or three days in the training of the 104th Trainee Corps as the recruits prepare to become humanity's defenders in the war against the Titans. Familiar scenes and lines from the original story are reworked into gags, giving the grim setting a playful, lighthearted spin. The specials play best for viewers who already know the main series.
