The world this show builds is designed to break you before episode one is over. Season 2 pulls back the curtain just enough to make you understand how little you actually know, then uses that vertigo to hit you with moments that rewire what you thought the entire story was about. The second half stops pretending to be a straightforward war anime and becomes something closer to a mystery thriller wearing titan corpses as camouflage. Watch it for the action sequences that actually use three-dimensional space; stay because the plot keeps moving the goalpost on what humanity is even fighting for. The pacing stumbles badly in the first half, turning setup into a slog. But when it locks in, it pulls you forward with enough momentum that you'll marathon the back half in one sitting.
