The premise is so stupid it loops back to genius: three yakuza forced into idol training as punishment discover they're actually good at it, and the show mines pure comedy gold from their horrified competence. The voice acting sells every overdramatic wince and panicked whisper, turning what could be cheap shock humor into something that actually lands. It's sketch comedy that trusts its own absurdity enough to commit fully to the bit, even when the animation cuts corners and the sound design leans hard on the same joke twice.

Three yakuza thugs have finally pushed their boss too far. After botching an important job, Kentarou, Ryou, and Kazuhiko are offered a grim choice: die, or travel to Thailand for sex reassignment surgery and become pop idols. They choose the latter and endure a punishing year of training and feminizing brainwashing. Reborn as Airi, Chika, and Mari, they debut as the idol group The Goku Dolls and win huge popularity, to their horror. Yet their yakuza spirit refuses to die, so their boss hires Mandarin Kinoshita, a legendary manager whose idol groups have never failed. With their lives on the line, the reluctant trio must find their inner cuteness. The result is a gender bender comedy with ecchi and music.
