Nobody talks about this one. The comedy runs on pure timing and character chemistry, throwing you into idol industry chaos where the jokes land because everyone in the room is slightly unhinged in a different way. Eight episodes isn't enough to build the depth of a full series, but it's exactly the right length to keep the bit fresh before it wears out, which means every episode feels like it's earned its laugh. If you want comedy that doesn't pretend to be anything else, doesn't reach for emotional payoff, and trusts the cast to carry the entire weight, this exists and it works.
Backstage Idol Story is a 2012 comedy short.
