Takasugi Shinsaku, a soldier of fortune from Choshu, and his comrade Katsura Kogorou have a dangerous mission: find a mysterious timepiece that can manipulate time, which Takasugi fears the government means to keep for itself. Rather than let that power fall into the wrong hands, he intends to destroy it. Sneaking aboard a government ship, they finally obtain the timepiece, only to have it quickly stolen by an unknown thief. Their pursuit leads them to Kyoto, the seat of government, where everything has changed. The government has been overthrown, and the deity Susanoo now rules in its place. The streets and the people in them are far different from what the two remember. Their mission stays the same: Takasugi and Katsura resolve to reset time and save their country from the sinister forces trying to seize it. Based on a smartphone game from FuRyu, the story mixes action and science fiction with the history of the Bakumatsu era.
