The Barbapapa family sets off on trips to faraway places around the globe, including New Guinea, the Amazon and Patagonia. At every stop they meet wildlife living in its natural home, learning about plants, birds, reptiles and mammals along the way. The family plays with the rare animals they find and copies their behavior for fun, but they also step in to help whenever a creature ends up in serious danger. Aimed at preschool viewers, the show is a set of short five-minute cartoons that mixes comedy with adventure. It brings the Barbapapas back to television after a gap of 25 years in 50 brand-new episodes, each one balancing humor, peril and excitement as the family discovers how animals live.
