The characters are what keep you coming back, especially the ones who should be forgettable side rivals instead of actual people with their own reasons for spinning. Valt's impulsiveness gets him into fights he shouldn't win, then the show surprises you by making him lose anyway, and that's when you realize this isn't just a tournament climb. By episode thirty you're invested in five different Bladers' stories at once, not because the show demands it, but because it earned each one separately.

Valt Aoi, a fifth grader, is crazy about Beyblade. His best friend since childhood, Shu Kurenai, is considered a prodigy and has already earned a place among the Final Four of the National Beyblade Tournament. Inspired by Shu, Valt sets out to reach this year's nationals, but first he has to win a district tournament full of tough opponents, where he hopes to battle Shu in the championship. Along the way, Valt makes new friends and starts to dream of becoming the world's best Blader. The series is a sports action show with a sci-fi edge.
