The animation finally matches what Kubo always intended. Studio Pierrot stops apologizing for Bleach and commits to making every fight look like it costs something, every color choice deliberate, every frame a statement. The pacing still stumbles when it should sprint, but the anime fixes what the manga left broken, and by the end you're not watching a show that should have ended years ago, you're watching the one that actually knew how to finish.

The third part of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc sees the Quincy leader Yhwach, fresh from his clash with Ichibei Hyousube of the Royal Guard, pushing toward the last step of his plan: killing the Soul King, whose existence keeps Hueco Mundo, the Soul Society and the human world stable. Uryuu Ishida, having overcome the rest of the Royal Guard, sides with Yhwach in his bid to build a new world. Armed with fresh resolve and new strength, Ichigo Kurosaki hurries to stop him and protect the lives of all three realms, though his tangled ancestry leaves him open to Yhwach's influence. Meanwhile, Shunsui Kyouraku, now head captain, turns to a former foe whose vast power might change the course of the war.
