Shiro gets handed the Jetters jacket by default, not because he earned it, and the show actually lets that weight sit on him instead of rushing the redemption. Every episode is built around the idea that the slacker brother has to prove something to a universe that's already mourning the real Bomberman. The comedy lands hardest when Shiro screws up and it matters, when his jokes become coping mechanisms instead of punchlines, and when you realize he's carrying his missing brother like a debt he'll never pay back.
Far out in deep space, many cultures share the planet Jet, and a space police group called the Jetters keeps the peace there by battling the villainous Hige Hige Dan. Their leader, Mighty, is a powerful and admired Bomberman, while his brother Shirobon, known as Shiro, is a lazy, crude slacker. When Mighty suddenly disappears, Shiro is pushed into a new situation. With help from the friends he makes among the Jetters, he starts to grow into a responsible Bomberman and may one day lead the team himself. The show mixes action, adventure, comedy and science fiction.
