Bosco no Mori no Nakamatachi is a one-episode pilot for the Bosco Daibouken anime, produced a year before the main series. Instead of the later show's cast, it features a different set of characters who live in a forest, a setting that stays much closer to Tony Wolf's original book. The special remained unreleased for 19 years until it was included in the main series DVD release. Its genres are adventure and fantasy.
