This is three and a half minutes that exist purely to make you grin, and it knows it. Handing a Pastel*Palettes single to ZAQ, who writes, composes, and arranges the whole thing, is the kind of casting choice that makes anisong nerds sit up: her stacked, sugar-detonating hooks against the softest unit in the BanG Dream! lineup should not work, and instead it becomes the loudest pastel song in the catalog. Sawako Yuno and Yuichi Hinata run it as a fantasy piece, so Aya, Hina, Chisato, Maya, and Eve get pulled out of the idol-industry grind and into pure storybook mode, no drama, no heavy themes, just the five of them let loose. Nothing here is trying to be deep. The OST is the point, the visuals are the victory lap. You will replay it before you close the tab.

Pastel＊Palettes spins up a vibrant one-shot music video that channels pure color and movement. The animated video accompanies the group's song Brand new Pastel Road! and is directed by Sawako Yuno and Yuichi Hinata. The track is a collaboration with ZAQ, who handled the composition, the arrangement and the lyrics. The single episode carries a fantasy label.
