The main series has you watching literary figures solve murders and survive mafia wars. This one has them fumbling through domestic chaos like actual roommates who happen to have supernatural abilities. The comedy lands because it's not trying to be clever about the premise, it's just letting you watch Dazai fail at basic adult tasks while Chuuya inexplicably gets dragged along.

The Armed Detective Agency is back in miniature form for a second season of short comedy episodes. As in the first season, the characters of the Agency and the Mafia appear as cute, shrunken versions of themselves, with Atsushi and his companions at the center, and the tone moves away from the original work toward peaceful everyday life. Twelve short episodes mix comedy and slice of life with the franchise's supernatural backdrop.
