Belle Lablac is the lone human in a land of animal people, and she is healing from injuries left by a violent split with her companion, Adonis Question. Guilty and feeling betrayed, she recommits to her journey to learn where she comes from, even without him. Back among the allies she fought beside in the Catacombs, Belle backs Guinness, who openly doubts that battle and challenges the Schubertland law that the good must die fighting evil forever. Belle supports his plea to King Rawhide to make the Catacombs a place neither side may claim. Adonis, now allied with darkness, returns to Schubertland and sets his sights on the king, putting the whole land at risk. The second season of this action fantasy is based on a novel by Ubukata Tou.
