S.A.M is a friendship android who has never questioned what friendship means until the world forces her to. The show trusts its three leads enough to let them be genuinely weird together, which means the humor lands harder than the plot ever will. It's a Netflix ONA that looks like it cost money, moves like it has something to prove, and treats a maintenance robot and a fugitive like the real heart of the story instead of side characters.

S.A.M is a top-of-the-line, royal-class droid built for friendship, and she is relentlessly cheerful as she searches for her best friend: the missing prince and heir to a powerful kingdom under siege. She is not alone. Joining her are a quirky maintenance robot that was thrown away and Philly the Kid, an immortal and dangerous renegade on the run, who brings along his transforming pink Cadillac. Together this mismatched trio travels through a fantastic and perilous world. Adapted from a fantasy comic book series by LeSean Thomas, the twelve-episode ONA mixes action, adventure, fantasy, mecha and science fiction.
