Sakura finally gets what she's been chasing the entire series, and the show lets you feel it without apologizing. The animation upgrade means every small gesture between her and Shaoran carries weight the original couldn't quite land. This is a love letter to people who waited years to see these two actually get there, compressed into twenty minutes that justify the wait.

With the Sakura Card arc behind her, Sakura finds everyday life settling back into its usual rhythm. The strange events, the threats and the trials of strength have all ended, and the people around her are moving forward. That calm leaves a sadness in her heart, and as farewells come, she holds on to the people she loves, including one special person. The single-episode OVA, a magical girl story mixing fantasy, comedy and romance, retells events from episode 70 of the original Cardcaptor Sakura as a prologue to the Clear Card arc. It came with the limited edition of the third volume of Clamp's manga and had an early screening at Anime Expo 2017 in Los Angeles.
