A three-way heist where the thief, the detective, and the sword kid all want the same prize, and nobody knows who's actually winning. Conan vs. Kid is already electricity, but throwing Yaiba into the mix means the con is constantly shifting targets. By the end you're not sure if anyone actually stole anything or if they all just outsmarted each other into leaving empty-handed.
Conan borrows a huge stack of manga from his friend Mitsuhiko and starts working through it, even though there is far more than he can easily read. Meanwhile, the Mine family asks Kogoro to guard a prized sword kept in their dojo, because Kaitou Kid, the phantom thief, has sent notice that he plans to take it. What begins as a straightforward heist prevention quickly spirals into something far stranger. Odd things start happening around Beika City, and not everything is what it appears to be. At the dojo, Conan and the others meet Yaiba Kurogane, and they join forces to stop the thief. As they work together, Conan starts to sense that something about the case does not add up. The OVA mixes mystery and adventure with comedy and a touch of drama.
