Gena is a crocodile living a lonely life in the city when a crate of oranges arrives for him. Inside it he discovers a strange little creature, and he gives it the name Cheburashka. The two share many adventures as Cheburashka makes new friends and slowly comes to understand the world around him. Adapted from a children's story by Eduard Uspensky, the film is a stop-motion comedy about Russia's Cheburashka character.
