Ryou Saeba will never learn his lesson, and that's the entire point. Ryou Saeba works as a private detective in Shinjuku, taking on cases for clients whose problems the police can't or won't handle. His partner Kaori keeps him grounded, or at least she tries to, armed with a comically oversized hammer that she swings whenever Ryou's priorities get a little too focused on attractive women. Known as the City Hunter, Ryou works as a sweeper, hired by people in serious trouble, though he is usually hoping a grateful female client will reward him. Beautiful women and villains keep crossing their path, and the mix of comedy and mystery keeps the action coming.
