The planet is literally a machine, and nobody seems to care until it starts failing. Naoto hears that fact and immediately understands what everyone else missed: if the entire world is clockwork, then someone has to know how to fix it, and that someone might be him. The show builds a world so visually specific, so committed to its own absurdity, that you stop asking if it makes sense and start asking what breaks next.

A world of metal and gears replaces what was once Earth. Legend says the clockmaker Y rebuilt the dead planet from cogs a thousand years ago, and humanity still lives on that machine. Naoto Miura, a struggling high school student with hearing so sharp he can read clockwork from its sound alone, dreams of becoming a great clockmaker. Then a coffin falls from the sky into his apartment, and inside is RyuZU, an automaton made by Y himself. Her arrival brings Marie Bell Breguet, a gifted heir to a famous clockmaking family, and her cyborg bodyguard Vainney Halter into his life. Caught up in a fight for survival, they learn that the clockwork planet is starting to fail, and that plenty of people are willing to kill to keep that hidden. Together the three set out to repair it in this clockpunk mix of drama, romance and sci-fi fantasy.
