Cobra walks into every scene like he's already won the fight before anyone throws a punch. The Psychogun isn't just a weapon, it's a calling card, a refusal to play by anyone else's rules in a universe full of people trying to own him. Space pirate stories live or die on whether you believe the legend, and this one does the work: you buy that Cobra is exactly as dangerous and untouchable as the universe seems to think he is.

Utopia More, an archaeologist, uncovers an ancient record that may unlock the secrets of the universe. That discovery makes her a target for Gypsy Doc, a ruthless figure in the Pirate Guild. Her rescuer is Cobra, a laid-back but legendary space pirate who was in the middle of trying to steal a diamond from a museum when the attempt to abduct her began. His custom-built Psychogun makes him a formidable opponent. Together they try to keep Gypsy Doc from seizing the record and using its secrets to rule the universe, while Cobra's revived arch-nemesis, Crystal Boy, fights on Gypsy Doc's side. The four-episode OVA mixes action, adventure, mecha and science fiction.
