A comet is coming and nobody knows what that means, so Moomin just walks toward the mountains to find out. The journey matters more than the destination, the characters you meet more than the apocalypse you're running from. By the time you reach the Observatory, you've forgotten to be afraid of the end of the world.
A comet hurtles toward Moominvalley, and nobody knows if the warnings are real or just the rambling fears of a philosophical old Muskrat. Moomin decides to find out for himself, dragging Sniff and little Mee along on a journey to the distant Observatory in the Lonely Mountains. What should be a straightforward fact-finding mission becomes anything but, as the trio encounters colorful characters and unexpected obstacles at every turn. They reunite with Snufkin, navigate the strange priorities of a well-meaning Hemulen, and cross paths with the peculiar Snorks, each bringing their own chaos to the expedition. Along the way, friendships deepen while the group races against time, uncertain whether they're chasing a catastrophe that will never come or running toward their own doom. The comet grows closer in the sky, a constant reminder that sometimes the greatest adventures begin with a simple question: what if everyone was right to be afraid? What if they weren't?
