Shin-chan stops caring about plot and just lets chaos happen for ninety minutes straight. The jokes land because nobody's trying to build toward anything, each bit exists to get the biggest laugh possible before moving on. It's what happens when you give a comedy character complete permission to be annoying without apology.

Cray-Shin Paradise! Made in Saitama is a 1999 comedy movie made up of a collection of short stories instead of one continuous plot. It was released together with the Crayon Shin-chan feature film Bakuhatsu! Onsen Wakuwaku Daikessen, and it offers a lighter, comedic companion piece to that main feature.
