A girl arrives from the future claiming to be Shin-chan's bride, and she has come for the five-year-old troublemaker himself. Her name is Tamiko Kaneari, and she says her father Masuzo, head of the power company Kaneari Electric, has captured the grown-up Shinnosuke in her time. Only the five-year-old Shinnosuke has the power to rescue him. She takes him and his friends in the Kasukabe Defense Forces to Neotokio, a future city under Masuzo's rule, on an adventure to save the world to come. The film is a comedy that blends the franchise's slapstick silliness with dystopian science fiction and time travel.
