Shin-chan gets handed the premise "bath-hating terrorists want to destroy all Japanese hot springs" and runs with it like it's the most serious threat humanity has ever faced. The movie commits completely to the absurdity instead of winking at it, which is why the comedy actually lands. It's exactly what Shin-chan does best: take something stupid, treat it with zero irony, and let the character's shameless energy do the work.

The Nohara family teams up with Onsen G-Men, a covert agency run by the government that looks after every hot spring in Japan. Their enemy is Yuzame, a terrorist group that hates baths and is scheming to erase the country's hot springs entirely. This 1999 Crayon Shin-chan feature film is a comedy with ecchi and slice-of-life touches, pitting an ordinary family against a bath-hating conspiracy in a showdown over the nation's hot springs.
