Two high school students live very different lives but share one goal: passing their college entrance exams. Miho lives on an island that has no cram school at all. Shouta lives in Tokyo and studies while holding down a part-time job. Both sign up for Z-Kai's correspondence courses, and without realizing it, their paths begin to cross.
