The first half drags like it's still finding its footing, but the moment it clicks, you realize this was always building toward something that matters. The Asakura sisters' story becomes the emotional center, and the show finally makes good on all the franchise mystery it's been hinting at since the beginning. By the final episodes, you're not just watching romance play out, you're watching people actually change because of it, and that's rarer than it should be.

The story picks up right where the first season of D.C.II ended. Snow falls on cherry trees that never stop blooming. Sakurai Yoshiyuki and Tsukishima Koko have put their failed relationship behind them and can now share smiles and friendly conversation as classmates. With the school Christmas party approaching, Yoshiyuki grows closer to Asakura Otome and Yume. Only Yoshino Sakura looks troubled, because she knows a disaster is about to strike. Based on a game by Circus, this second season mixes comedy, drama, fantasy and romance while giving familiar characters more depth.
