Joker flies to Japan to steal weapons from a martial arts society, but Batman shows up broken, and somehow the actual solution is a time heist to Bruce Wayne's parents' murder played entirely for laughs. The movie knows exactly how absurd this premise is and leans into every inch of it. A DC tentpole that understands the only way to make Batman funny is to treat the setup like a straight action film and then let the punchline be the entire third act.

The Joker touches down in Japan with a scheme to raid the Eagle Talon Society's arsenal, leaving the Justice League scrambling in pursuit. But Batman's acting strange, and the Eagle Talon crew suspects something deeper is wrong with the Dark Knight. Their investigation leads them spiraling back through Bruce Wayne's past to the night that changed everything: his parents' murder. What starts as a straightforward villain hunt turns into chaos on multiple fronts. The Eagle Talon Society juggles stopping the Joker while also managing their shoestring budget, watching their production costs climb as licensing fees for DC's heavy hitters drain their resources. As money dwindles and animation quality threatens to degrade, the team races against both a madman and their own financial collapse. This film is a high-energy collision between DC's iconic heroes and Japan's most scrappy underdogs. It's comedy built on the friction between big-budget superhero gravitas and low-budget anime improvisation. Expect absurdist humor, surprising heart, and the kind of meta jokes that land hardest when you're rooting for characters operating on fumes and determination.
