Kokoro quits being a detective to become an idol out of spite, then immediately hates it. Henriette has to fake a crime just to make Sherlock stop moping. The whole special knows exactly how ridiculous this setup is and leans into it completely, building comedy out of characters who care about each other's happiness more than they care about looking smart.

Kokoro stubbornly walks away from her post as a police detective to become an idol, urged on by Irene and Irene's father and finding little backing from anyone else. The new career soon wears her down, and she begins to long for the detective work she left behind. Meanwhile, Sherlock is lonely without her. Henriette notices this and stages the theft of a statue, hoping the case will persuade Kokoro to rejoin the force.
