Nobita gets his wish and the world breaks anyway. What feels like a simple fantasy setup becomes something heavier, a story about wanting something so badly you don't see what it costs until you're already inside it. Miyako carries the emotional weight of this film on her shoulders, and by the time you understand who she really is, the movie has already made you care more than you expected to.

Nobita has long dreamed of living in a world of magic. Using Doraemon's what-if-telephone-booth gadget, the two of them remake the world so that it runs on magic instead of science. What they do not realize is that demons also exist, and those demons pose a threat to the magical world they have created. The feature-length fantasy film was screened as a double feature alongside Ninja Hattori-kun Plus Paaman: Chounouryoku Wars.
