A tiny alien president crashes into Nobita's life, and suddenly protecting someone means risking everything you care about. The film doesn't let the kids stay innocent bystanders, they choose to fight a war they never asked for, and that choice costs them something real. Doraemon's gadgets become less about solving problems and more about deciding which problems are worth dying for, and by the end you realize the real enemy was never the invading army.

Papi, the tiny president of a distant planet, flees to Earth after military forces seize power back home. Doraemon, Nobita and their friends take him in, but Papi soon realizes his enemies have followed him to this world, and he is reluctant to drag his new human friends into the conflict. Doraemon, Nobita, Gian, Suneo and Shizuka set out on a big adventure as they work to hide Papi and keep him safe from his pursuers. This 1985 feature film brings the Doraemon cast into a fantasy tale of a war that reaches from a faraway world to Earth.
