Nobita comes across a lost white dog and gives him the name Peko. Meanwhile his friends are hoping to spend their summer vacation adventuring somewhere nobody has explored yet. After looking into possible destinations, the five friends set off with Peko deep into the African jungle, where they learn that the dog is mysteriously tied to the place they have come to. The film is a remake of the 1982 Doraemon movie Nobita's Great Demon, originally written by series co-creator Fujiko F. Fujio, and it blends adventure, comedy and fantasy.
