The tournament bracket is the best structural decision any DBZ movie made, pacing fights like a rhythm instead of just stringing them together. The animation actually moves in 1993, and the comedy lands in ways that feel earned instead of forced between punches. Bojack and his crew are forgettable, but that almost doesn't matter because watching Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks tear through this tournament without Goku there to save them is enough.

Mr. Money is staging another Tenka'ichi Budokai, and Mr. Satan opens the tournament to everyone in the world. What nobody realizes is that Bojack, an ancient villain who has escaped from his prison, has entered the competition. Goku is dead at the time, so defeating Bojack and his henchman is left to Gohan, Vegeta and Trunks in this action-packed sci-fi adventure film.
