This is the Buu Saga without the bloat, without filler padding out fights that don't need it, without the original anime deciding a 10-minute transformation sequence belonged on television. The remaster strips down to what the manga actually did, which means the story moves and the absurdity hits the way Toriyama intended. If you've always wanted the chaos and heart of the final arc without sitting through 100 episodes of repetition, this is the version that respects your time while keeping every weird, wild beat intact.

Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters is a remastered take on the Majin Buu arc that sticks more closely to the manga. Seven years after Cell's defeat, the Z Fighters have settled into ordinary lives. Goku has kept training in the Other World, Krillin has married, and Gohan is struggling through high school. A new World Martial Arts Tournament brings them back together to face Earth's strongest fighters. Meanwhile the wicked wizard Babidi has crossed the galaxy seeking revenge and hoping to realize his father's failed dream of ruling the universe. The Supreme Kai asks the Z Fighters for help in stopping Babidi from reviving a terrifying monster, Majin Buu. The show mixes action, adventure and comedy.
