The opening episode hooks you with a kiss that actually matters, not fanservice for its own sake. What follows is a show that refuses to pick a lane: it's a demons-of-the-week action series, a broke-PMC workplace comedy, and a romance where the chemistry between Shuu and K is so immediate it rewrites what you expect from the genre. The animation during combat sequences is crisp enough to carry the weight, but the real draw is watching two people who shouldn't work together become genuinely difficult to separate. Tonal whiplash kills it for half the audience. The other half gets exactly what they came for: romance that doesn't wait for a final arc to matter.

Shuu barely scrapes by running a tiny PMC in Bayron City, an artificial island metropolis in the Pacific that belongs to no nation. The mining of a new energy resource called orgonium has brought frequent demon incidents, known as D Hazards, which few people know about and which private military companies are hired to handle. Shuu is picky about the jobs he accepts and spends recklessly, so he is always short of money. Kisara, a high school girl who does contract work at his office, supports him in both his work and his private life, taking on everything from clerical tasks to housework. She is secretly a demon, bound to Shuu by a contract: she helps him exterminate demons, and the price is a dangerously sweet kiss. Complicating things is Ayano, Shuu's ex-girlfriend and an elite agent at the major PMC where he once worked, whom Kisara dislikes. The result mixes supernatural action, comedy and romance, with a bond that wavers between love and contract.
