Haruo and his friends wake up the moment a kid actually needs them. Five lucky charms that have been watching from the shelf suddenly get to be real, and they're hilariously bad at it. A children's room full of Japanese folk toys coming alive to protect kids is the kind of premise that only works if you let them be exactly as clumsy and earnest as actual toys would be.

Five Engimon come to life when trouble finds the Amanogawa household. Haruo the papier-mache dog, Kin-chan the goldfish paper balloon, Hebikura the bamboo snake, Chief Daruma the daruma doll, and Koume the kokeshi doll keep watch over siblings Himi and Yamato from the children's room. One day an unfamiliar Engimon, a beckoning cat, turns up, and Himi runs out of the house after it. Haruo and the others suddenly start moving, startling Yamato, and together they set out to bring Himi back. A comedy film made for Anime Tamago 2018.
