Psychic abilities have begun to surface in humanity's next evolutionary step. People known as E's can turn thought into energy, and an elite force of these psychics exists to keep law and order, though it remains unclear whether they will protect the world or rule it. Kai, whose powers set him apart from the others, lives under the protection of an organization called ASHURUM alongside his sickly sister Hikaru. Recruited by Eiji, he is assigned to AESES, the organization's special force, and put through intensive training. In his free time he visits Hikaru at the organization's hospital, but her health never gets better. After a year of rapid growth, Kai decides to break away from ASHURUM. The result is a sci-fi action drama about psychic power and the people who control it.
