Anime Like Frame Arms Girl
A girl wakes up to a tiny robot with a personality fresh out of the box, and suddenly mecha stops being about war and becomes about two people figuring each other out. Frame Arms Girl knows exactly what it is: a 12-episode advertisement that earns the right to be one by making Gourai's confusion about emotions genuinely charming, and by letting Ao's everyday life stay small and real even when tiny weapons platforms are assembling in her room. SYNOPSIS
Ao's ordinary day gets disrupted when a mysterious package arrives containing Gourai, a pocket-sized combat android with an experimental AI that's never been activated before. Unlike standard Frame Arms Girls, Gourai comes equipped with genuine artificial consciousness, making her the first of her kind to possess true personality and emotional capacity. As the sole person to bring her online, Ao becomes responsible for helping this curious, naive android navigate the world around her. What starts as an awkward cohabitation between a confused girl and an overeager robot quickly becomes something more meaningful. Gourai hungers to understand human behavior while simultaneously collecting combat data through increasingly dangerous encounters. She's earnest about proving her worth as a weapon, but her developing emotions keep pulling her toward simpler joys: friendship, laughter, and belonging. Ao finds herself caught between protecting Gourai from a world that views her as nothing but military hardware and allowing her new roommate the freedom to grow. As their bond deepens, both discover that what Gourai truly needs isn't battle experience. It's someone who sees her as more than just a machine.
