This is a movie built entirely for people who already lived with these characters. It doesn't waste time introducing anyone or explaining the world, it just drops you into a toy kingdom problem that only matters if you care about Love and her friends solving it together. The plot is straightforward to the point of simplicity, which works when you're there for the dance routines and the specific way these Cures fight, not for originality. If you watched Fresh Precure and wanted more of that exact thing with a toy-theft wrapper around it, this delivers. If you're looking for something the franchise hasn't already done, you won't find it here.

Love and her Precure friends are enjoying peaceful days after their last major victory, but that calm ends when toys belonging to the town's children start disappearing. The girls agree to help track them down. During a slumber party, Love finds her old stuffed rabbit, Usapyon, who comes to life and warns the Cures that the Toymajin is to blame. This abandoned toy wants revenge, has taken control of the Kingdom of Toys and is stealing toys from everywhere. The Cures travel to that kingdom to stop him and protect the feelings of children, in a magical girl movie full of action and fantasy.
