Tetsurou boards the Galaxy Express 999 with his traveling companion Maetel for a journey across space. The five short ONA episodes were produced as promotional pieces for Kyuushuu Electric Power, the Japanese electricity company also known as Kyuuden, so energy stays at the center of every visit. The result is a brief sci-fi adventure built around a single practical question that each destination answers in its own way.
