The secret war between tarots doesn't end when the series does. This OVA is where the show finally asks whether these girls earned anything beyond survival, or whether the system that broke them is still doing its job. It's the reckoning the TV series couldn't afford to give them.

Luna's start as a magical girl and the lives Akari and Fuyuna led before the main series are the subject of this OVA, the unaired episode 14 of Day Break Illusion. Nico Nico carried it, and the fourth volume on DVD and Blu-ray includes it. In that series, girls from 22 bloodlines wield the Elemental Tarot in a secret war against the soul-devouring Diablos Tarot.
