A man who escaped death hunts the creatures that should have killed him, carving up the corpses for coin while the world burns around the profits. The show builds a world where every giant beast kill is also a crime against nature, and nobody cares because the meat sells. You are watching a cycle that cannot stop, fed by hunters who need the work and kingdoms that need the bodies.

In a world shaped by colossal beasts, humanity took the land the Kyojuu created, and the angered giants began devouring people in return. Humans called on the gods for aid, hunted the beasts across the land, and prospered by using their carved-up remains. Jiiro makes his living as a Kyojuu hunter, a man said to have cheated death, and he is grieving the loss of his former war partner. His path crosses with Kuumi, a young woman who has just awakened magical powers and is being chased. After forming a contract with her to protect a city from a beast attack, he learns she escaped a laboratory run by a man named Mezami. Jiiro reluctantly helps her flee, traveling with Kuumi and her friend Myaa as they uncover the secrets of their world and learn that humans can be more dangerous than monsters.
