The tank battles here move like nothing else on screen: perfect mechanical choreography where every shell trajectory and crew decision matters. Miho stepping back to let Momo command reframes the entire franchise around passing the torch, not just winning cups. This is what happens when a studio decides a series about girls in tanks deserves to look like a real war film, shot by shot, without losing the warmth that made you care about these characters in the first place.

Momo's academic crisis becomes the team's battle cry. Too much time spent on tankery has left Momo Kawashima, a former student council member at Ooarai Girls Academy, with failed university entrance exams and the prospect of repeating a year. Her friends come up with a plan: Miho steps down so Momo can take over as commander, and a win at the Winter Continuous Track Cup could earn her a second shot at the exams or an athletic scholarship. The first opponent is BC Freedom High School, a French-themed school split into two constantly feuding factions. Victory demands more than firepower this time around.
