Märchenland is a kingdom where fairy tale characters live together happily, until the Evil Emperor Pierrot invades and seals away its Queen. Bringing her back requires the Cure Decor, tokens of happiness made from her scattered light. The fairy Candy travels to Earth to search for the legendary warriors known as Pretty Cure. Miyuki Hoshizora, a fairy tale lover who spends each day chasing happiness, runs into Candy on her first day as a transfer student. Later, a strange school library carries her to Candy's side. When she has to protect everyone's happiness, Miyuki becomes Cure Happy. She then sets out to find the other warriors, gather the Cure Decor and defend the world from destruction. This magical girl fantasy is the ninth entry in Toei's Pretty Cure franchise.
