The Goblin Slayer stops treating goblins like a job and starts treating them like a war he's already losing. A snowy village burns, a missing woman becomes personal, and for the first time the show lets you see what all that grinding actually costs. The party stops advancing and starts surviving.

Goblin Slayer receives a request from the Sword Maiden to learn what became of the Noble Fencer, who went missing after setting out to hunt goblins. He and his party, Priestess, Elf, Dwarf Shaman and Lizardman, travel into the snowy northern mountains. There they see a small village come under attack and find a mysterious chapel, and the behavior of the goblins troubles Goblin Slayer. They are being led by a clever goblin paladin who has turned the savage horde into an organized force. To rescue the captured fencer, the party heads for an ancient, snow-covered fortress to face this dangerous foe and its army. The enemy proves far stronger than expected, but Goblin Slayer shows no mercy, using any dirty trick or strange tool that will help him bring it down.
