This is the match Haikyu has been building toward for ten years, and it's almost entirely volleyball, no filler, no subplot, just two teams that know each other's souls playing one game. The animation doesn't just show the rallies; it shows what's happening inside each player's head the moment before they touch the ball. Kenma's arc hits different when you watch him stop calculating and start feeling, and the soundtrack knows exactly when to let the court go silent so you can hear what matters.

Karasuno and Nekoma finally collide at the Spring Nationals, and everything hinges on this single match. The two underdog squads are long-standing rivals, and Karasuno has never managed to beat Nekoma in their practice games. Now they meet in an official match with no second chances and a place in the semifinals on the line. For Nekoma's Kenma Kozume, volleyball has always been something he is simply good at rather than something he enjoys. Yet the prospect of a high-stakes official clash with Karasuno stirs a rare spark of excitement in him. The game also puts him opposite his friend Shouyou Hinata, Karasuno's short but skilled middle blocker. Kenma must read the most baffling and stubborn team he faces and steer Nekoma to victory, while Karasuno must find a way past his clever strategy to keep its hopes of reviving the team's old glory alive. The movie opens the final chapter of the Haikyu!! story, a sports drama with its share of comedy.
