Sachi Koyama, a high school girl in Iwaki, Fukushima, still carries deep scars from the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. Since the disaster she has kept her friends and family at arm's length and shows no interest in people or romance. A violinist since childhood, she belongs to her school's music club and practices daily for a quartet performance at the cultural festival. Then she meets Yuusuke Kijinami, a boy who loves to paint and whose family fled to Iwaki after being unable to return home. When she offers to help him find the perfect sunset view for his art club exhibition, the two grow close over the scenery they both admire and begin to fall in love, though Yuusuke still lives in the shadow of the quake.
